Parents, You Are Key

Parents and Guardians, you play a vital role in the success of your child. Please take a few minutes to become familiar with our class website and the activities we are doing. Let your child know you are interested. You could even review this site together.

  • The Home Page will give you a good idea of what we are currently doing in class.

  • Be sure to check out the Home Study page. There you'll find all our homework assignments, a wealth of study resource links located on the right sidebar, along with FCAT information, class documents and Power Point presentations.

  • In the Gallery you'll find pictures of some of our class activities.

In addition, it would be great if you would check your child’s book bag, notebook and planner. Are they neat and completed? Can they explain what we are doing in class? Your active support can go a long way.

You can find more information about our class in the ClassBrochure.

Communication

Communication with me couldn't be easier:

  • If you want to send me a personal email, just click contact Mr. Grant. Your email software should open with my address already filled in; type your message and send.

  • On the other hand, you can send me a public message by clicking the "comments" link at the bottom of any posting. Your comments are emailed to me but they also become viewable on the site.

  • If you want to set up a meeting call the school at 407-877-5010 and guidance will be happy schedule a teacher parent meeting.

Grades, attendance and other information about all your child's classes are available to you online through Progress Book. You should have received a parent login id and password; contact the school if you did not receive one. I have provided a direct link to Progress Book at the bottom of the menu on every page.

In addition, I will provide students with a printed grade report about every 3 weeks. Students are requested to have parents/guardians sign them and return them for a homework grade. I always post something on the home page when these reports go out.
