Habitable Alien World

The potentially habitable alien world, a first for Kepler, orbits a star very much like our own sun. The discovery brings scientists one step closer to finding a planet like our own — one that could conceivably harbor life, scientists said… more..

  1. WOW lets go visits them an give them some pie or somthing alright just kidding but
thats pretty cool if you think about it I really need to know more

  2. Read about that new planet on an article as well. Hopefully, NASA will start to devise plans on launching an expedition to Kepler-22 (through a space probe, most likely) so that we can explore the planet’s features and try to detect any traces of life on the surface. There will be much to discover on this new planet!

  3. If we can launch a space probe that can make it there, we should be cautious, because what if the “aliens” detect the probe or something :P Well i think it’s pretty cool that there’s another life bearing planet out there

  4. At something like 600 light years away, what problems do you see with sending a probe? How might we further investigate the possibility of life on distant planets without traveling there?

  5. Lol I suspected you caught this article too, however I’m just now checking in on here XD. I actually find it quite interesting to look at planets that have such promise for life besides what is observed on Earth. However travel at light speed is still something of science fiction, and we need to top that in order to even dream of gathering information. However, if it was deemed necessary to send humans to this planet there is always the promising field of Cryogenics XD.

  6. I also think that it is cool and i hope that Kepler is successful. Although the problem with sending a probe that far is that it could get stuck in a worm hole or some black hole. Also even if it didn’t get messed up it would be very hard to communicate or get info back. If only we could shoot a live video feed of it.

  7. There was a motive to lying about the moon landing (if we did in fact lie) The space race…cold war…Soviet Russia. There was NOT a motive to lie about this what would be the point?

    • They probably wanted to look good and end up in history! Governments sometimes just want to look good, didn’t you know. People have to look at both the positive AND negative sides of things.

  8. Dude! We should totally go there and be like “hey we’re from Earth, we are here to steal your information on the universe” and be all like waaaaaaaaacha! and make them give us all their smart knowledge stuff! Just kidding, this is awesome, I seriously want to go there!
