Awesome Notes!

Is it time to throw out the notebook and adopt new technology?

Don’t tell students to put away their electronics, tell them to get them out!

Our experiment in classroom technology continues. Discuss what works and what doesn’t, make recommendations for apps and how to prevent abuse (you know that stuff teachers get upset about). How about applications beyond note taking?

  1. Pros-Kids are likely to do their work. No more textbooks. It saves trees!
Cons-other adults take our technology away. It could die. It could break.

  2. I think that technology is just like textbooks. It has its ups and downs, just like Breanne said. BUT by using electronics, you save more money, less destroying of property, and more paying attention.

Because who doesn’t love to text!! I don’t mean the kind between friends!! But if you actually think about it, that would be a good thing too. I mean those students wouldn’t be distrubing the rest of the class and they would only be cheating themselves.

Plus, this way kids actually would be paying atttention, taking good notes that they can actually READ, going on the web to look for more information on those things, have those notes where ever they go, and be able to ask other people for help with out distrubing class.

So I think we should adabt to what is going on then try and mold kids into what the schools want us to be.

  3. One of the only problems I see with technology is if the students had to provide themselves with an iTouch or iPhone. Some students may not be able to afford that.
