Meteorologists sample a wide network of weather stations and use satellite images to map out the positions of the large air masses circling the Earth. Since air masses interact in a relatively predictable way, meteorologists are able to predict weather patterns with some degree of accuracy.Every weather prediction is based on the chance that the weather conditions will act together in a certain way. However, forecasts can be wrong. Some general patterns help meteorologists predict weather for a local area. Most weather conditions across the United States move from west to east. Moving weather conditions are due to wind patterns across the earth. In any given place, a clue to tomorrow's weather may be found by looking at the weather of the area to the west.

note: I spelled psychrometer wrong in my earlier comment. There is only one "h", and it's not after a "t".

Well, basically, weather starts from the sun's effect on earth, and water. Meteorologists usually predict weather by keeping tabs on a network of weather stations and using images from satellites to see where large masses of air are heading. (Which is kinda weird since you'd think they'd be studying meteors that fall from the sky, wondering whether or not said meteors are alien spacecraft, but nevertheless.)
They predict weather through air fronts, such as the type of weather. Another factor that helps predicting wheather is the geography. (Your local surroundings for example.) It seems every weather prediction is based upon the probability that the weather conditions will act together in a certain way. (Or so I've read.)
Tools used for predicting weather are the barometer, anemometer, psychromether (that sounds so cool), thermometer and rain gauge. (All said tools shall not be explained due to the fact that i'm too lazy to read their definitions.)

This was a pretty unusual rain storm. It started with a cold front moving into Florida, then a low pressure system got stuck in the Gulf and took several days to move out of the area. The rain storms we are getting now are the normal afternoon sea breeze storms.

What if one day the sun just suddenly got extermly hot. I mean hotter than it already is. It will probubly affect the earth right? The climate will take a darastic change and the earth would get hot. So my point is mabye the earths climate is also affected by the outside in space. The sun getting closer or hotter, that can all depend on the climate too right?

i agree with everyone above. i think they use like a satellite or use there previous weather forcasts and uses them to predict the next day.

i agree with everyone. when they look at past climate reports they can perdict future treads in the climate and make estiments

i think the weather people use like satellites 2 predict weather and they also use other tools 2 predict the weather
